Houston Carnival 2017 Photo Diary

So much has happened in 2017 so far. Enough for me to feel like it can’t get anymore busy, or worse or even impactful. But life is full of surprises. Sometimes you need a break from those surprises. Instead of just worrying about what would happen next, I chose to just leave my worries at the door and step into the carnival a carefree kid.

Unfortunately there was no photo booth. So we made one.

Welcome to the fair.

For those of you who don’t know, the Houston Rodeo comes every year in March, for 3 weeks. There’s the Rodeo part, where you see all the animals and you get to buy rodeo merch like cowboy hats and cow hide, and then there is the carnival. This year, we chose to go to the carnival. The rodeo is cool, right. But there’s only so many times that I personally can go and see pigs walking around being shocked by metal sticks and cows that don’t look so happy, for patron enjoyment. I just feel so bad for them.

Man. When I say I love my friends, I really do. Did I mention this was a diary? K. Cool. With our busy schedules I rarely get to see Briana and Jamal so when I do it’s always always always a good time.

Squad in 3, 2, 1…

With us, we take every major moment as a photo opportunity. (Especially Jamal and I) but that doesn’t mean we aren’t experiencing those moments. We are always making memories but sometimes we just gotta capture them!

Side note: For the longest time I thought we were standing here because Briana wanted cotton candy. After about 10 minutes I realized we were actually standing on the side of the booth and we were all simply there to take pictures…Lol, Welp.

Here we have the fried cheesecake…so good! & next to it is a failed attempt of me trying to carry Jamal. Then you have the cotton candy and the ferris wheel. It was all just so pretty and Im glad we got to keep tangible memories.

Appreciate the little things. Cliche but it will always be true. God has given us these moments to cherish. To remember when things aren’t going so right in our lives.

Why do I feel like all my posts end like this? All sappy and stuff.
